Euro Charline Back For a Repeat in $700,000 Beverly D. Stakes
Euro Charline (GB) headlines the field as the morning line favorite at odds of 5-2 for trainer Marco Botti. A four-year-old daughter of Myboycharlie (IRE), she won the Beverly D. Stakes (G1) last year in an upset performance as a three-year-old and will try to repeat that effort. She has had only two starts since last August and was last seen finishing second at Newmarket. Jose Lezcano will be aboard and they will break from post position eight.
Stephanie's Kitten trying to return to form
Second choice at 7-2 on the morning line is the veteran mare Stephanie’s Kitten for trainer Chad Brown. A six-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy bred and owned by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, she is a nine-time career winner and won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) in 2011. After winning the Hillsborough Stakes (G3) in her first start of the year, she has been off the board in her last two starts against graded stakes company and will break from post three under Irad Ortiz, Jr.
Wedding Vow (IRE) making stateside debut
Also in the field at morning line odds of 4-1 is Wedding Vow (IRE) for trainer Aiden O’Brien. A sophomore daughter of Galileo (IRE), she has been on the board in five of her seven starts and is trying to earn the first stakes win of her career. She broke her maiden two starts back on August 1 and will be wheeling back off of two weeks rest. Colm O’Donoghue will be in the irons and they are scheduled to break from post position nine.
